2. Apartment groups

In order for everyone to find their place in our huge Outreach team, all participants are split into small apartment groups, each with an apartment leader. As an apartment group, you live together, travel together to team meetings and locations, shop, cook, eat, clean together, pray for each other and exchange ideas.

Each apartment group is responsible for its purchases.

We have a wonderful accommodation in Mallorca that is right by the sea and allows us to accommodate so many people in one place. Each apartment has air conditioning, private bathroom, 1-2 bedrooms with beds and a sofa bed in the living area. The apartments are plain and simple, but luxurious compared to many other accommodations :). As an apartment group, see how you can serve and support each other, for example by not just reserving one of the beds if you're first.

We as Outreach team align our hearts so that the mission is not about us and our advantage and comfort, but about serving and being grateful to one another. This is also expressed in our life together in the apartments!

Your job as an apartment leader is to organize practical tasks within the apartment with your apartment group of 4-6 people and to closely guide and support them in any questions and challenges that arise during the outreach. You will receive online training in advance and have a coach at your side to support you during the outreach!

8. Working duties during the Outreach

During the Reach Mallorca Outreach we have evangelistic Outreaches in different places. These include the beach services at Ballermann, street outreaches in Magaluf, public services at a plaza in Cala Rajada, face-to-face evangelism in Santa Ponca and others.

At Reach Mallorca, everyone is part of the Outreach team and everyone is needed. There are volunteers and leaders who have a little more responsibility, but in order to achieve the goal of showing as many people as possible the love of God, everyone of the team is needed.

At Reach Mallorca, the main focus is on the Outreaches, where we go out. The Reach Mallorca Outreach is therefore expressly not a leisure activity, but a missionary effort. This also includes self-catering in the apartments. When it comes to shopping, cooking, cleaning, being on time and organizing, everyone is required.

You can also work specifically in the following areas of work during the Reach Mallorca Outreach:

1. Drama: At the outreach, we will present the gospel in creative and personal ways through drama. Experience in theater is not necessary as the roles will vary in complexity.

2. Worship: Worship is an essential part of Reach Mallorca, both during shared team times and during Outreaches. You should already have experience here.

3. + 4. Sound technic and equipment: As part of the technic team, you will work closely with the worship team. If you already have experience in mixing and are interested in new challenges, then join us here. To set up the stage on the beach we need people who can get involved and know or want to learn how to load a sprinter properly. Every hand is needed!

5. Projector: For team times in the Chruch, a projector team is needed to display texts and Powerpoints. No prior knowledge is required here as there will be a joint introduction.

6. Translation in team times: Since Reach Mallorca is an international Outreach, our team times will be in German, Spanish and English. That's why we need people who speak all or two of three languages fluently and are skilled at translating from the beginning or simultaneously.

7. Gospel choir: Be part of the legendary Reach Mallorca gospel choir! We want to lead the worship time as a gospel choir in a cheerful and multi-voiced way and get our people to dance along. But at the beach service we will also invite the people at Ballermann to sing with us and with the choir. You don't need any previous experience - the only requirement is to enjoy singing!

8. Street and beach sermon: The Reach Mallorca outreach also includes larger beach and street services, sometimes attended by several hundred listeners. If you have the confidence to give a short, clearly evangelistic sermon in public in front of many people, then you are very welcome to get involved in this area.

9. Sharing your personal testimony in public: Can you summarize your personal testimony so that you can tell it clearly in a few minutes and do you have the confidence to share it in front of a few hundred listeners at the Ballermann? Then you have the opportunity to share your testimony at the beach service or at another location.

10. Moderation of beach services: As a moderator of a beach service, you are the first point of contact for the listeners and create a connection with the people. The goal is to help listeners to easily follow and understand the individual elements of the service. Instead of just announcing program items, you establish the connections between the elements that build on each other and guide the listeners through the beach service.

8.1 Here you have the opportunity to register if you can specifically imagine working in one or more areas. We will contact you for the binding allocation or it will take place on the first day of the Outreach.

9. Additional qualifications

Every year we have to apply for a permit for the beach services at Ballermann. The beach services will only take place if the authorities in Palma approve them.

In this approval we must meet certain criteria and, among other things, provide names from our team who have certain qualifications/training. This includes the fact that we need people who could act as doctors, first responders, electricians or lifeguards.

When we are checked by the police on the beach to see whether people with the skills mentioned are there. You don't have to do anything in these moments and have no responsibility, but you will be named in the approval after consultation.

12. What we stand for

For the Reach Mallorca Outreach, participants and staff from different churches, communities and backgrounds come together. We proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ together. We do this in creative ways and each in our own words.

In order for us as a mission team to be sure that we agree on the common basis of faith, we have published the “Lausanne Covenant” on our website and here in the registration form. The Lausanne Covenant is a declaration of world evangelization and the foundations of our faith.

We ask that you read and agree to the covenant. Your signature to participate in the Reach Mallorca Outreach means that you represent the content of this obligation.

13. Rules we want to stick to

We firmly believe that your participation in this outreach will change your life and that God wants to use you in a very special way. Even before the Outreach, we begin to pray for you and strive to encourage and support you in your gifts and abilities as best as we can.

Since this assignment will be a very special time for you, we have come up with a few rules that we consider necessary to ensure that your time in Mallorca is a success for you, the rest of the team and especially the people we want to serve . We would like to ask you to follow the following rules:

1. There may be moments on this mission when you disagree with decisions made by your leaders and see certain situations completely differently. We would like to ask you, especially in such moments, to still submit to the leaders' decisions and follow them. Your (apartment) leaders have probably already had a few more assignments than you and have very specific reasons why they may sometimes make different decisions than you would. In addition, leaders are only normal people and can make mistakes. It is more important to work together in unity than to always make the right decision.This particularly applies to apartment groups.

2. During the deployment, we have a rule that no one is allowed to enter into a relationship with a person of the opposite gender. If you fall in love, we would like to ask you to keep this to yourself for the duration of your assignment and not to communicate it through your behavior. If you are already dating a person, we would like to ask you to put your relationship aside for the duration of the Outreach and invest yourself completely in your team. By this we mean, among other things, that you hold back on conspicuous physical contact (holding hands, kissing, etc.) and avoid times alone as a couple where you consciously withdraw. The heart should be not to neglect the commitment and, for example, the apartment group. The reason for this rule is that we think it is important that everyone is able to concentrate solely on God for the duration of the mission and not to awaken longings that are completely natural and good, but, during the Outreach, rather distract from our actual goal.

3. Drugs, alcohol and cigarettes are taboo during the Outreach.

4. There is nothing that can destroy the atmosphere of an Outreach like speaking badly or gossiping about individuals, whether they are leaders or participants. We would like to ask you to refrain from doing this completely.

If you do not adhere to these rules, the Outreach leaders have the option of sending you home immediately at your own expense.

I hereby register bindingly for the Reach Mallorca Outreach from August 1st to August 12th, 2025 and agree to subordinate myself to the leaders of the Outreach and to cooperate with the authority figures of the organizing works and the Church with which we work on site and to take their instructions and recommendations seriously. I understand that leaders may send me home at my own expense should I disobey their instructions. Furthermore, I undertake that I will not enter into a relationship with a person of the opposite gender for the entire duration of the Outreach, and if I am already friends with a person on the Outreach, I will not have physical contact and removal for the duration of the Outreach the group to avoid. For the duration of the Outreach, the Reach Mallorca app will be set up for all participants in the Outreach for the purpose of simplified communication. I agree that my contact details may be added to this internal app and that the volunteers and participants of the assignment may contact me via the app. This consent is necessary and can be revoked at any time for the future. You can also request that your profile in the app be deleted after use. Since our Outreach team is now very large, the app makes it much easier for us to quickly communicate with all participants - both before and during the Outreach. Every year, we produce great recap videos and photos of the Reach Mallorca Outreach that show what happens on the Outreach and express what and how God works. We use the visual materials to inspire people about what God is doing in Mallorca and in this way to build the Kingdom of God beyond Mallorca. We have heard many testimonies about how the photos and videos have become a blessing.

The Reach Mallorca Outreach team grows year after year. That's why we have to assume that every participant can be filmed and photographed. Unfortunately, it is not possible to deliberately not depict individual participants because the team is too large and confusing.

We therefore ask you to agree to the taking and publication of photos and videos taken during the Outreach. When selecting the media to be shown, we make sensitive decisions and show appropriate moments that serve the mission.
